The Low Cholesterol DietA low cholesterol diet has been shown to prevent heart disease. However, recent research showed that it is based on very low fat foods while allowing high amounts of carbohydrates. Therefore, the Low Cholesterol Diet lowered not only "bad" LDL cholesterol levels in the blood but also "god" HDL cholesterol. A low carbohydrate diet will be high in healthy oils, which will increase the "good" cholesterol levels while lowering the "bad" ones.
