Why Diets Can Go Wrong?

Most diets fail because of hunger, cravings, boredom, and cheating, often due to too much counting. Research showed that most people honestly think they consume mess calories than they really do and this can be the first usual suspect. To figure out whether or not this is the reason for your diet failure, try keeping log of your calorie intake: quite a few online diets offer good tools for diet logs. Hunger is the worst diet enemy since it pushes your body in the conservation mode and instead of burning the calories contained in your body fat, you become sleepy and lazy so move less and don't burn the calories. There are basically two solutions:
  1. A low-fat, high-fiber diet to decrease the amount of calories in every portion. Research showed that hunger disappears the faster the bulkier the food.
  2. A low-carb, higher-fat diet to switch your body's metabolism from running on carbohydrates to running on your body fat's by products, ketone bodies. Research showed that not only this decrease your hunger but also increase your fat burning rate.
Same is true for the cravings: low carb diets are very attractive because the dieters stop craving for sweets after a few days on the diet. One possibility is that you eat too little! It's often enough to start eating more and exercising much more to begin losing weight.
