November 30, 2007, Newsletter Issue #92: Is Banta Diet for me?

Tip of the Week

The Banta diet includes strength training plan along with aerobics and interval training.

It is important because building the muscle mass allows introducing more carbohydrates. It's called 'burning the carbs' as opposite to 'burning the fat' on the earlier stages of Banta with mostly aerobic exercises.

Indeed, one burns carbohydrates from his or her stores in muscles and liver with every set of weights.

However, Gyrotonic and Stability Ball exercises can do the trick because they are strength demanding enough to induce carb burning. I advise you to give it a try.
