But Dr. Phil's selling points are more psychological than physical. He endorses healthy thinking as well as healthy eating, and he devotes much of the book to the emotional aspects of unhealthy eating and being overweight and he suggests that depression is the root of weight problems for many people. If you want to explore the psychological reasons behind your weight problems, then this plan might be for you, but if you want more action and less introspection, you might want to look elsewhere for a diet plan.
